Tank Commander vs Neptune Apex
Neptune's Apex is the established reef-controller standard. Tank Commander is built around the same idea — central brain, sensors, switched outlets — but rebuilt for 2026: a faster app, modern wireless, and a single price that includes the sensors most reefers actually use.

Our take
If you already have an Apex ecosystem and lean on its breakout boxes, the switching cost is real. For new builds, Tank Commander gives you nearly the same monitoring + automation for roughly a third of the price, with a much faster app.
