Tank Commander vs Hydros (Coralvue)
Coralvue's Hydros Control X4 / X8 lineup is the youngest mainstream reef controller and ships with a polished mobile app and modular DIN-style sensors. Tank Commander targets the same modern reefer but bundles the four sensors most people actually want (temp, pH, TDS, salinity) and eight smart outlets into a single box — no $80-per-module math to do.

Our take
Hydros is a strong, modern controller and the app feels great. If you're already on the Coralvue ecosystem (Kamoer dosers, etc.) the integration is convenient. For someone starting fresh, Tank Commander gives you the same monitoring stack, more sensors in the box, and a built-in display in a single all-in-one device.
